Jamie has a point Dexy, come backs are usually crap. Career breaks are all about timing and what’s going down in society, Sex Pistols for example, please don’t bother doing a come back tour, punk is dead, Madness, please don’t do a comeback, baggy trousers dirty shirts are dead, Duran Duran and all the other 80′s bands, please don’t do a comeback tour because YOU ARE SHITE!!!!!!!

Saying that, as I’ve said before, there are no charismatic people on the TV football box. So Beddiel and Skinner, why not, yeah bring them back along with Russell Brand on Soccer AM, then we might actually start to enjoy watching the football box again…

I thought that show was mustard, what’s wrong with a little nostalgia? The Rolling Stones have made a VERY successful career out of it. You don’t see David on the TV anymore so he doesn’t really have anything to lose does he!!

I’d have to disagree here. Fantasy Football League was brought back for Euro 2004 and as far as I remember, it wasn’t very good. It just never got close to matching the golden era of the 90s. What was once unplanned and laugh-out-loud funny banter and witty but unserious routines had turned in to slick, unfunny and over-rehearsed set pieces.

It was a great show but I’m sick of all these Bring-Backs from people who can’t control their nostalgia. Enjoy it! Savour the fact you were of the generation that got to appreciate the zeitgeist of 90s football with Baddiel and Skinner! Tell your grandkids about it in years to come! Revel in the re-runs! Just for God’s sake don’t try and bring it back; you’ll only be left dissapointed.

I agree football television magazines aren’t the same these days, but such is life. If it still bothers you, there’s always Football Focus…

i think Steve McClaren should front the show, in fact make a new show, the toilet roll charisma show featuring 99% of people in football. Including special guests with template clichés such as Micheal ‘it’s a game of 2 halves’ Owen, Frank ‘Just concentrating on the next game’ Lumpycoat & John ‘Two footed I can get away with it cos I do wee wee’s on dance floors’ Terry.

Failing that, lets bring back Baddiel & Frank Skinner!!

What about John Barnes, he was classic comedy on Channel 5, he could read an autocue like a 3 year old! Des was only good with Hansen and Lawernson as back up.

So yeah man, lets bring back B&S asap! Football needs more sillyness and the sooner the better!
