Arsenal target Urby Emanuelson has revealed that he is not happy at AC Milan opening the door for Arsenal to launch a bid.
The Netherlands international has only completed three full matches this season for i Rossoneri and is unhappy with his lack of playing time. His agent Brian Berkleef said:
“Urby is not happy. I’m definitely surprised that Urby isn’t playing. I think we all are. It’s difficult to understand what the reasons are. Urby is a calm guy and even during difficult times he only thinks about working and not complaining.”
Arsenal are expected to sell left-back outcast Andre Santos with the signing of Emanuelson expected to provide needed competition for Kieran Gibbs and Lukas Podolski at left-back and left-midfield respectively.
The 26-year-old Dutchman can play at left-back, left attacking midfield and centre attacking midfield and has been linked with a move to Fenerbahce report tuttomercatoweb.com and to Arsenal according to a report from givemefootball.com.
Emanuelson is known for his excellent technical ability and would be a welcome signing for Arsene Wenger’s team as they attempt to qualify for the Champions League for a 12th successive year.
Emanuelson enjoyed a seven year stint at Ajax before moving to AC Milan in 2010 for a fee of around £1.3m. During his time at Ajax he was named in the UEFA Team of the Tournament at the UEFA Under-21 Championship and helped Milan to win their first Scuddeto in seven years in 2011.
