It is once again time for El Clasico to take centre stage this weekend as Barcelona host Real Madrid at the Nou Camp in La Liga on Sunday evening. It is the first time these two have met in the league this campaign.

The match already looks as though it could play a huge part in the title race, with the home side knowing that they could open up an eleven point gap on their bitter rivals, which would make them the huge favourites to lift the trophy, even at this early stage.

Barca really have started the season flying in the league with six victories from as many games and they do look as though they are out for revenge after finishing second to Real last campaign.

Jose Mourinho’s men have struggled to get their year in La Liga going and have been inconsistent. At the moment they are sitting in mid-table knowing that this is a must win.

If there is one man you would want in charge for a match of this stature, then that is Mourinho and he is sure to be relishing the challenge that lies ahead of him.

It is hard not to get excited about El Clasico – both of these sides have shown what top quality outfits they and many would tip them as the two best in the world.

You cannot talk about Barcelona v Real Madrid without mentioning the two men that are dominating the headlines at the moment – Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Last year they scored an incredible 96 goals in the league between them, with Messi scoring 50 and Ronaldo 46.

In the end though it was the Portuguese international that had the last laugh as his goals helped Real clinch the title. The latest sports odds, will have these two as the favourites to get on the score-sheet this weekend.

With so much talent on show and plenty at stake, it is difficult to see how this can be anything other than a superb football match. Let’s just hope that some of the controversy we have seen over recent years in nonexistent.

If you like La Liga Betting tips, then how about Messi setting the game alight and bagging a hat-trick? Available at 18/1, it looks to be a great bit of value.

A fantastic 90 minutes is all but guaranteed.
