Barwick, what have you done? are you mad? you have only gone and got Fabio Capello (as predicted last week), this is brilliant news!

Don Fabio has the best CV in world footy and he is taking over our England team. 5 Scudetti, 2 La Liga, 4 Supercoppa Italiana, 1 European Supercup and a Champions League where his AC Milan tore into Barca was no fluke. His AC Milan completed a run of 58 games without defeat. He has won a league title with every team he has managed. Bellisimo!.

He was a top player as well. He won 32 caps for Italy between 1972 and 1976, scoring eight goals including the only goal in Italy’s first win against England at Wembley in 1973. Started his career with SPAL in 1964 before moving to AS Roma in 1967 and clinching the 1969 Italian Cup. He then joined Juventus where he enjoyed his best spell, winning league titles in 1972, 73 and 75. Capello signed for AC Milan in 1976, picking up the 1979 scudetto before retiring.

There will be a total overhaul and general kick up the aris and he will flanked by 4 members of The Sopranos. There have been rumours of players waking up with horses heads next to them if they don’t buck their ideas up, it has happened before, Ruud Van Nistelroy’s missus lost 5 stone when Capello went to Real.

From now on there will no mobiles in training or at meals (especially Ashley). A cut back on advertising sports wear, aftershaves and Gloria Gayners and no more “hows your father!” with the WAGs. He will bring to the team a mental toughness that McClaren got nowhere near. The man is as hard as Bruce Lee and won’t mince his words. He openly said to Di Canio once” You are an ugly c*** and your face looks like a p***s ” Di Canio never played for him again.

Capello will finally get the best out of Frank and leave him on the bench. He will hopefully blood some of the youngsters as well. Theo, Young and Agbonlahor will get a run-out and David Bentley will take over right wing duties from Goldenballs.

Becks needs one more appearance to reach 100 caps for his country but will Fab grant him a final send-off. It’s roughly 6/4 that he manages to reach the ton and 1/2 to miss out. I can’t call it at the moment, he can’t even last a full game these days. I met him for a quick one the other night down my local.
I said ‘A pint of your usual, Dave?’
‘No Dex, just a half, then I’m off’
Fab dropped Becks at Madrid but eventually called him back and promptly won the league.”Wise men know when to change their minds.” He said.
What a top man, Mourinho take note.

John Terry might be blowing a few washers as well, his captain’s armband may be up for grabs and Stevie (I’ve won a Champs League medal, you haven’t) Gerrard must be in with a big shout and is 4/1. England are now 14/1 to win the 2010 World cup. This is worth a few bob and could be laid later when everyone gets on the patriotic punt.

I’m going to enjoy the next couple of years with Fab and have already got my seat for his first game against the Swiss at Wembley. The world better be afraid, the Iron Sergeant and the 3 Lions are on the march!

I just hope he’s not Sven II, he does actually seem to have some charisma, so lets wait and see, I won’t get excited until we are in a semi final of a major tournament! That could be some time!

    Will he pick mooncat though?

I’m hoping he’ll pick Kernal slaphead the 3rd at center back forward striker

It says he may go for Cudichini as well for keeper. Bring Di Canio, surely he qualifies after all those years over here…..and zola!

I’m very exciting at the prospect of Capello, he looks like a man who takes no shit what so ever!

the thing we are all forgetting is that this guy has not managed at International level, surely must be a reason why he was never given the Italian job?
