Following more speculation over whom the next England manager could be after Capello ends his spell as England manager after the European championships Shouts From the Stands (SFTS) wonders if the Football Association should be regretting the decision to make him manager.

Many of England’s loyal fans who were initially delighted with the decision when the well respected Italian was named manager have since changed their tune.

After England’s disastrous World Cup in which the team to appeared to lack any inspiration many blame Capello for being tactically inept and scared of change.

The doubts kicked in as soon as the World Cup squad was named, players with no international experience or poor club form were picked over experienced internationals.

Capello continued to pick Wayne Rooney throughout the tournament despite his lack of form or fitness and him having no real effect on any of England’s four games.

It also appeared that Capello made the unforgivable sin of going into the tournament despite not knowing his best 11 or even his side’s best system.

England’s dismal World Cup ended after being ripped apart by a German team in a game which Capello appeared to run out of ideas.

Despite having a World wide respect as a club manager with success in both Italy and Spain, Capello was unproven as an international manager and has done little to enhance his reputation.

A huge factor bothering both England fans and the English media are Capello’s language skills. Despite being in charge for over two years Capello still struggles to give a basic press conference in English. You can only imagine how much he struggles to get his message across during his team talks, which could be leading to England’s lack of inspiration.

Do you think Capello should see out his contract or the FA should take immediate action and find his replacement?

Who would be your ideal replacement? Harry Redknapp is the name most linked with the job in the media would he be the right choice or do England again need to look abroad for Capello’s successor?
