Fulham sensationally beat German Champions Wolfsburg on their own turf to reach the last 4 of the Europa League. It was a great night for English football tonight as Liverpool also reached the semi’s beating Benfica at Anfield.

Fulham’s away record has been subject to scrutiny this season, but they shrugged off any allying fears with a resounding win with Bobby Zamora again showing Fabio Capello what he can do at the highest level. The strong strikers 19th goal of the season came in the 22nd second and the Bobby Z bandwagon looks to be gathering even more pace.

The West London’s club 54th game of the season has shown no cracks in the well- oiled Fulham machine although legs must be getting tired by now.

Wolfsburg would have expected more from their magic midfield of Misomovich, Djecko and Grafite but they looked weak in attack- especially in front of their home fans.

If they are tired then they certainly don’t show it.

surely Fulham must be one of the teams of the season. Beating Juventus and a very good Wolfsburg deserves some major credit.

Who would have though the Cottagers are the pride of England!!

Over the 2 legs it’s such a great achievement. Please to see Liverpool get through as well 🙂

I’d love to see Fulham do what Boro failed to do and actually win the tournament. Boro were happy just to be in the final where as with Rwoys European pedigree Fulham should do slightly better!
