Goal line technology good idea or not?

With the new season rapidly approaching, and managers plus players calling for goal line technology to be enforced you have to sit and think whether this is really a good idea or not?.

See referee’s will probably agree with this so they can cower out of making the big decision which is, did it cross the line or not? especially if it is the turning point in the game.

Managers and players nowadays mainly want it so they can get their bonus’s for scoring or winning the game, but me i am big fan of upsets, the best thing about football is they don’t have to stop the game to go to the line judge, the hawk eye or third referee. It’s what separates the sports from one another, don’t you just love it when little teams come up against the biggest of teams in the likes of the FA Cup, and a controversial decision gives the small town football team a victory its the beauty of the game and goal line technology could stop that from happening.

“Do you wanna know why football is the world’s greatest sport? Because all you need is a ball and an open space, you don’t need fancy equipment or special fields, you don’t have to be big or strong or tall, it’s the most democratic of all sports, the people’s game.” -The Game Of Their Lives.
This is a quote from a great sports movie and it states that football is the worlds greatest sport because you don’t need all this fancy equipment and special fields, so if we allow this decision then what will be next offside’s, fouls, throw-ins, goal-kicks and corners will we need to stop the game to find that out?, then where will we be, we’ll be just like the other sports and interest will be lost and our status as the worlds greatest sport will fade…
