Manchester United have declared an interest in signing wantaway utility man Urby Emanuelson according to fichajes.com.
The AC Milan defender/winger has been linked with Arsenal as he seeks a move away from the San Siro this January.
The new link casts yet more doubt onto the future of Nani at United who is being tracked by a number of clubs, including Arsenal.
His agent Brian Berkleef has recently said that the 26 year-old is looking to move in the January transfer window:
“Urby is not happy. I’m definitely surprised that Urby isn’t playing. I think we all are. It’s difficult to understand what the reasons are. Urby is a calm guy and even during difficult times he only thinks about working and not complaining.”
The Dutchman has only featured 12 times for Milan this season and could be available for a cut-price of £4.5m due to his lack of playing time.
Emanuelson played for Dutch giants Ajax or seven years before joining AC Milan in 2010 for a fee of around £1.3m. During his time at Ajax he was named in the UEFA Team of the Tournament at the UEFA Under-21 Championship, won the Scuddeto with Milan in 2011. He has been capped 16 times for Netherlands and has managed to score 22 times in 240 appearances.
