big 4Ho Ho Ho, let’s make some dough. It’s snowy season once more and all the celebrity Xmas parties have seen Dexy getting well and truly sozzled. I was at the Liverpool team fancy dress shindig last night & Rafa was dressed as a pumpkin. Come midnight he still hadn’t turned into a coach!Santa has brought Christmas forward a fortnight early this year with a bumper Grand Slam Sunday. It’s Liverpool V Man U early doors and then The Arse v Chelsea after. Here’s the lowdown on these Christmas crackers and few odds for you to have a butchers at:

El BowHas Benitez lost the plot or what? His tinkering sodded up a nice little four fold i had last week and I really think the Spaniard is in the caca. Why choose three strikers who had to rely on The G-man in midfield. The scousers had no width and Reading exploited it nicely. Why he didn’t play Babel and Kewell out wide is anyone’s guess, he didn’t need 2 defensive midfielders, this was only the Royals. As soon as they went down 3-1 he hauled of the spine of the team with Torres, Gerrard and Carragher playing budge-up on the bench.Rafa has dropped from 6’s to just 7-2 to get The Spanish Archer after the defeat to Reading (Skybet have even suspended betting), if he fails to get any points on the board this Sunday against Fergie, his big boss meeting with the yanks next week could be his last.Dexy’s bunce burner – Liverpool 15/2 to win Premier League is nono, not unless Jose’s grows a dot & dash and takes over which is 5/1.

Dexy’s LongshotSo Giggsy finally hit his ton for the Reds on Saturday so credit where it’s due. He’s won the lot with Manchester United and is a credit to the game. It always seemed so easy for him, up and down for 90 minutes and that close control in the box before letting of with a thunderous shot (Well that’s what Dani Behr told me!). If only he was an England player, imagine what could have been. Sorry Taffs.Last Saturdays Derby game was Uniteds 8th straight home win and the 6th time that they have notched up four goals in 1 sitting, they also have been tidy at the back letting in just 8 so far (The Mancs, not Dani!).They will be too much for Rafa this Sunday. They have lost just once in the past 5 seasons at Anfield. Put simply, The Red Devils are looking like the best team in Europe at the moment. Ronaldo is favourite for top goalscorer this season coming in at 5.8/1 with Adebeyor at 6.4/1.Take a punt on the Mancs to beat Anfield’s finest at around 8/5

Boules upArsene Wenger has plenty of enemies at the mo especially with all this talk about foreigners ruining our league (I’ll be touching on that over xmas). Say what you like but there is no doubt that he has assembled yet another great Arsenal team who are playing arguably the best football the League has ever seen. Before the weekend, they had no losses in the Premier league stretching back to last season. Then it all went a bit Pete. Tongy will be gutted about his beloved Gunners, they drew with the barcodes and had a right Weston against Middlesborough who hadn’t won in 11, I think Monsieur Wenger would call it a kick in Les Boules. The problem is that the fulcrum of the Arsenal team is Cesc Fabregas. They have missed him of late have dropped 5 points in their last 2 games. Without Hleb (who has improved beyond all recognition) & Van Persie, i don’t think they will be good enough up to xmas, certainly not this weekend.Joint top League scorer Adebayor (9 so far) is around 6’s to be 1st goalscorer but Chelsea are looking formidable at the moment even without their big names. I can’t see the Gooners firing that much. I reckon they will hold Chelsea at best on Sunday. Get on the 21/10 stalemate.

Frank spies Mince piesUnlike all the others, missing some of there untouchables has not affected the Blues and they have gone 15 games unbeaten, 12 of them without Cech, Carvalho, Terry and Drogba at various times. They have gone an impressive 71 games without defeat at the Bridge. With The Drog out of action with another diving injury and the African nations coming up, this his Shevas big chance to shine before the transfer window opens, he’ll want to put on a good show for Avram especially with persistent rumours that Le Sulk is on his way in the New year for 15m.Shev is coming into a bit of form at last and has 3 goals in his last 5 games. Steve Sidwell & returning Ballack will also get a look-in in the next couple of months mostly due to the African Jolly Boys Outing.Without The Drogs presence, Chelsea definitely lack that bit extra and I fear they may come a Hayley in February if they don’t get reinforcements.Fat Frank is eating up the goals like mince pies (12/5 to score at weekend) at the mo but if he gets injured anytime soon, you would be a worried blues fan and an even more worried pie shop owner.

Long come the day when Villa, Leeds, Forest & Preston will make up the top 4 again! I miss those days.

I love watching Arsenal play don’t get me wrong, but give the other boys a chance you lot! Interesting stat number 1. The last team outside the top 4 to win either the FA Cup or the league was Everton back in 1995.

Lets not forget Clapham Rovers historic victory over Oxford back in 1880!

Well done Giggsy, long been a hero of mine, reminds me of myself a lot too……his retirement will be a sad sad day for the premiership.
