Aston Villa v Newcastle

With only 2 wins from 12 away from the Tyne in the league this season, I
really can’t see Newcastle bettering that here. If Owen stops sulking
long enough to put a decent performance in and the Newcastle midfield
can produce a performance that their capable off then we may see a score
draw. But with villas better than average home record this season and
well marshalled defence I can only see one outcome.

Prediction 2-1

Bolton v Portsmouth

Toothless Trotters, now that Anelka is plying his mercenary skills with
Chelski, Davies might knock one in off his kneecap one day which will
start a run of him scoring in every game till 2018. Or not. Pompey to
walk it. Baros to bag one on his debut.

Prediction 0-3

Derby v Tottenham

Just for a nanosecond I considered giving this as a draw, bearing in
mind The Rams new found ability to look like they might snatch a point.
Mostly down to, id imagine, the oppo being befuddled by Savages
luxurious flowing locks before waking up and snatching a late double to
make the scoreline convincing. My moneys on a double from either Keane
or Berba and another for the other…

Prediction 0-3

Everton v Reading

Tough one to call this… by the table you’d say it was Everton all the
way but Reading can be tricky when they want to be and if Shorey can
attack down the left and take advantage of Phil Neville filling in at
right back for the Toffemen then I can see an entertaining game with not
many goals but plenty of near misses…

Prediction 1-1

Middlesboro v Fulham

Ive never seen a better Championship team than Fulham… Bullard and
McBride aside, theres not a single player that would even trouble a top
7 side. Lucky for them that Boro are only a top 13 side so their luck
may be in here….if Boro play any less than 75% then the Cottagers may
have a sniff. Or Alves may be the buy of the season and give Fulham the
stuffing that they’ve deserved all season.

Prediction 3-1

Sunderland v Wigan

One of those games that could easily go either way with a single goal in
the last 5 minutes sending Chris Kamara absolutely bonkers but doesn’t
even register on your Richter scale until you noticed in the papers on
Monday morning that Wigan won 1-0 with an 89th minute goal from Joe
Nobody but was otherwise a match to forget other than for Roy Keane
having a pop at someone.

Prediction 0-1

West Ham v Birmingham

The Hammers have been looking like a decent side
recently… Birmingham haven’t shown the promise they might have done
after a couple of good wins earlier in the season and its my birthday on
Sunday which is more exciting than this game is going to
be… straightforward win for the boys from the Bow Bells.

Prediction 2-0

Man Utd v Man City

Surely, Surely, Surely, the Blue half of Manchester wont want to spoil
the script and walk away from this game with anything less than a sound
pounding and the ringing of revenge in their ears after their lucky win
against United at Eastlands earlier this season. I saw U2 at the City of
Manchester stadium a couple of years back… Bloody brilliant.

Prediction 3-0

Chelsea v Liverpool

I would have backed a very tight game here but seeing as Benitez is too
busy looking over his shoulder and Torres and Voronin are injured, and
as far as I can see, Crouches knees are still tied together, its down to
Gerrard and Kuyt to get anything out of this game for the Reds…..Terry
and Drogba still missing for Chelski but they should have enough to get
them through this… especially at home.

Prediction 3-1

Arsenal v Blackburn

How no one has made a mockery of Big Dumb Senderos so far this season is
beyond me, truly it is… id love to see Santa Cruz stick a couple in,
Fabregas to do an embarrassing air shot and Adebayor to pick a fight
with a worm on the pitch just cos hes bigger than him, but sadly, I
doubt it’s to be and I can see Arsenal keeping their place at the top of
the table, for now…

Prediction 2-1

Great read mate however I believe some matches are going to be draws this weekend…here are my predictions for this week

    Aston Villa v Newcastle

Getting his first goal as manager last week, Keegan should get his first win at a Villa Park that has seen deteriorating perfomances from their beloved team.

    Prediction 0-1

    Bolton v Portsmouth

Letting go of “Mr Goals Benjani” was the worst thing possible that Pompey cudda’ done at this stage of the season but it’s happened and now they will pay for their actions ‘coz they won’t have any true goalscorers. The same has happened at Wanderer’s with good ol’ Nic leaving and this could be a very dull goal-less draw.

    Prediction 0-0

    Derby v Tottenham

Spurs are on a high at the moment. Juande has turned the club upside down and shaken it literally, holding on only to the so called capable players. Beating Arsenal by the biggest margin in all their games to date and being nicked of 3 points last week at united, Mr Ramos will surely be too strong for Rams.

    Prediction 0-2

    Everton v Reading

This seasons over-performing club against last seasons over-perfoming newcomers will surely be a treat and hopefully a goalfest like none seen before this season with Everton winning in stoppage time.

    Prediction 4-3

    Middlesborough v Fulham

The cottagers will come to tee-side hoping to secure their second win on the trot however Boro’ will see to it that this doesn’t happen and will prevent it with a solid back four thats starting to gel together.

    Prediction 1-1

    Sunderland v Wigan

This relegation battle six pointer will definately be priority for managers in the mini-league in the bottom half of the table and a win for either team will definately put them in a better place in terms of avoiding relegation. The stadium of light habitants should be too strong for a dillusional Steve Bruce.

    Prediction 2-1

    West Ham v Birmingham

As a wise man once said, you won’t lose games if you don’t concede but theres no guarantee you’ll win either. This philosophy will be applied to this game and without any real goalscoring threats from either team this match should pass as if it hasn’t has any effect on anyones life whatsoever.

    Prediction 0-0

    Chelsea v Liverpool

The battle for 3rd place will take place this sunday and with both teams under-performing by the standards of the players they possess, 3rd place will not be a consolation but an acheivement for either team. Liverpool have a more guile strike force and should nick this by a single controversial goal.

    Prediction 0-1

    Manchester Utd v Manchester City

The 50th anniversary of the Munich Air Disaster means both teams will play in their strips numbered 1-11 of 50 years ago. With sponsors removed from the shirts, both teams will play with compassion, pride and dignity which is what the City supporters will lack. There’s a strange rumour suggesting City fans will ruin the minute silence with Boos but heres to hoping they don’t. This landmark occasion will bring landmark consequences to the league table with united going back to the top of the league as Arsenal slip up at Blackburn.

    Prediction 3-1

    Arsenal v Blackburn

Arsenal are a team who lack composure when it’s needed most and being at the top of the table will once again make them complacent and do things as if they will the game no matter what happens. They will see their complacency rewarded with a draw at home to a team they really should be putting to bed in first halves of games.

    Prediction 2-2

  • http://www.ukfootballfinder.co.uk Darren

some obvious bashing going on here, read the papers, top of the league

    Aston Villa v Newcastle
King Kev in dream land as Newcastle score the first goal. But once again, it all ends in tears.

    2-1

    Bolton v Portsmouth
Dafoe scores for again as Pompey get back to winning ways

    Prediction 0-1

    Derby v Tottenham
Spuds march on as Derby start booking their season tickets fro the Blackpool match next season

    Prediction 1-3

    Everton v Reading
Coppell in free full as Reading missed the boat on signing some much needed new players

    Prediction 4-1

    Middlesborough v Fulham
Alves delighs with scrappy doo goal. Roy ‘Puppet’ Hodgson says, that was vwery bad.

    Prediction 1-0

    Sunderland v Wigan
Keano raises a smile as the Black Cats go 2 up within 20 minutes. Business as usual as Wigan fight back for a draw.

    Prediction 2-2

    West Ham v Birmingham
Carlton Cole scores from 35 yards, with Fabio Capello naming hm in his next squad replacing Micheal boo hoo has been Owen.

    Prediction 1-0

    Chelsea v Liverpool
Chelski bore the Premierships 2nd most boring side with a boring a 1-0 victory.
    Prediction 1-0

    Manchester Utd v Manchester City
It’s a fix, Utd are not allowed to lose this one.
    Prediction 2-0

    Arsenal v Blackburn
RVP comes of the the bench to seal yet another victory for the Premiership champions elect

    Prediction 1-0
