Special one set for the Real Madrid job?

Inter boss Jose Mourinho has quashed rumors linking him with the Spanish giants this summer as premature, but insisted “he will coach Real Madrid one day”.

Mourinho’s Internazionale will clinch consecutive Serie A titles if his side beat Siena at the weekend. They also have a Champions League final against Bayern Munich on May 22 to look forward to in what could be the Italian Champions most successful season for many a year.

Mourinho, has become a prime target for the Liga title-chasers. Despite only being a point behind Barcelona, Real’s current coach, Manuel Pellegrini, is under pressure, and could lose his job if Real fail to win the title.

“They are writing that I have one foot in Madrid and one in Milan, but this is not true,” Italian press reported him as telling Panorama in an interview.
“It is true that I will coach Real Madrid one day. I have managed a big club in England, I am coaching one now in Italy and I will coach a big club in Spain.”
The outspoken Portuguese has since fallen out with Italy’s football establishment, increasing speculation that he is set to quit Serie A.

“It means nothing to me, I have won in all three countries I have coached in,” he said referring to title wins in Portugal, England and Italy.
“But it does make me laugh when certain presidents compare me to their coaches who have not even won a Cup of Tuscany or Reggio Calabria.”
Mourinho, has also accused the Italian media as being two-faced.

“The hypocrisy in football is that people come to me with a smile on their face, slap me on the back, call me the special one – and then as soon as they can they attack me,” he said.

“They ask for a photo, an autograph and then they switch. This does not appeal to me.”

100% NAILED ON… Jose will be at Real Madrid next season, watch him milk it at the Bernabeu during the Champions League final.. Whats the betting Inter have the home dressing room against Bayern Munich!

  • Darren

his ego is to big not to turn Madrid down, even if they win the league the coach will be sacked.

Could be interesting times ahead for the rest of Europe

Wouldn’t be surprised at all if Jose made it to Spain. His heart isn’t in Italy but he doesn’t need me to tell him that- it’s plainly obvious.

Si si, he’ll be at the Bernabeu before heading to one of the big boys back here in a few years.
