Will mind games help in the battle for 4th spot?

The Premierships scariest man and most underrated manger has taken a leaf out of the Fergie & Wenger book of mind games. With 10 games to go, Everton are currently 3 points ahead of their Mersey rivals Liverpool. Despite this, Everton manager David Moyes says Liverpool remain favourites to finish 4th and take that all-important Champions League place.

Moyes said: “We are doing everything we can to make a fight of it but Liverpool have to be favourites, still.

“We have been consistent but for them fourth would be expected. The bookies are right to make them favourites.”

Everton have been in superb form recently, they remain undefeated in 2008, and in the Yak have the Premierships most inform striker.

Liverpool on the other hand have huffed and puffed with only 3 wins from the last 9 games. However, if they win their game in hand against West Ham on Wednesday they would re-claim 4th spot.

The two sides are due to meet on March 30th at Anfield. The result could prove to be decisive in who takes the Champions League qualifying spot behind Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea.

The battle for 4th spot is almost as exciting as the battle at the top. With Aston Villa a further 2 points behind, the Premier League is living up to it’s billing as Europe’s most exciting league.

Here are my predictions
