UKFF Academy make final of the Academy Cup

The UKFF academy side almost made history by becoming the first team to win the Academy Cup on their first attempt.

Made up exclusively from the website the squad showed tremendous spirit by reaching the final after a stunning comeback in the semi final to seal a dramatic win on penalties.  Trailing 2-0 with 7 minutes to go the game ended 2-2 as quick fire goals saw them set up a final show down against the current holders The Jamie Lawrence Academy.

An impressed Réalta Scouting Manager boss ex pro Phil Babb was there to see what UK Football Finder was all about.

After thrashing Roehampton Academy 4-0 in their semi final the JTL Academy looked hot favourites with a superb footballing performance.

UKFF had other ideas as the team showed togetherness, professionalism and composure. JTL took the lead with a scrappy goal on 10 minutes, but UKFF were soon level and looked more likely to win the game and the cup. The game finished 1-1, which meant another penalty shoot out. Only this time JTL kept their nerve and lifted the cup for the second successive year.

A great start for the UKFF Academy team who will enter the league in October. The future is bright, the future is UKFF!

UKFF Assessment day 16th, are you good enough to take your game to the next level?
