In what the CEO called a “proud day for UKFF” is delighted to announce and congratulate Gboly Ariyibi who is in advances Contract talks  with Nationwide Championship side Leeds Utd.

Leeds under Brian McDermott are pushing hard for promotion to the Premiership and IF the talks are successful and agreement is reached on both sides, Gboly will do all he can to make the first team but understands impressing the Under 21 Manager is the priority.

Gboly wrote as follows to UKFF FC on the 12th September 2013 as follows:

Ewemade,[UKFF Director of Football]

I’m an ex-Southampton FC player, having spent 8 years in their academy and U21\’s setup. I\’m now looking for new opportunities across the football leagues.

I play L & R wing as I’m strong with both feet, but I’ve also had some of my strongest games playing behind the striker. I’d like to send you my football CV and Southampton match footage at the earliest opportunity.

I’ve just spoken to Dennis [UKFF Head Coach] and keen on showing my skills and ability during the match this Saturday 14th. I’ll be pleased if you contact me to arrange as soon as possible.

Thanks, G Ariyibi ”

“This is a proud day for everyone at UKFF and shows that the project is on track. Gboly is responsible for his progress by his sheer ability but the hard work of UKFF staff in supporting him and offering him a platform to sharpen his skills this season plays its part as well.” added UKFF Chief Executive.

And in a message to his UKFF colleagues Gboly said ” Whether or not these discussions are successful,  I wont forget anyone at UKFF. They were the guys that gave me the strength and to keep me sane  by offering me the chance to keep in shape.
