Ultimate 11’s – Republic of Ireland

The Republic of Ireland are a few wins away from qualifying for their first tournament since the days of Jack Charlton.

They’ll be hoping the luck of the Irish is well with them when the draw for the World Cup play offs is made.

We’ve put together our best ROI 11, we actually forgot how much talent the boys in green have had over the years.

Do you really know your clubs proud history or are you just a teenage glory hunter? (not mentioning any names from the Kings Road & Eastlands). Remember you must pick a decent 11, not 10 forwards and a goalie. We’ll have a butchers and I’ll give my verdict from Mustard to Pony. E-mail your team to Dexy@ukfootballfinder.co.uk

Goals to goals ratio the Quinn myster wins hands down!

Cascarino, I want to read his book.
John Aldridge surely deserves to be in the mix after biting the linesmen knackers of in the 94 World Cup. They were so unlucky against Italy on Saturday but they have decent record, this might be their year. Wouldn’t it be nice if they knocked out Portugal in the play-off.

my Paddy cousins will make you green with Envy when we take you apart at Croke Park.

The spirit of 90/94 is back and Trap O Toni will give you frogs a Don like whacking!!

    Carr above Irwin, really?

Dennis Irwin is a left back, Ian Harte who was was class for the Republic also misses out. Steve Staunton has to start over Irwin for me.

  • dexylongshot

Irwin was a fantastic player for Man U, he is undoubtlely one of the finest left backs we saw in the Premiership.

  • Ash

And he could also play at right back
